Product Description
Bring a modern story of joy and resilience to your Troop with the Chiara Badano Trading Card. Part of the Modern Saints series, this card introduces Scouts to “Blessed Chiara Luce,” a young woman whose vibrant faith and “luminous” spirit continue to inspire young people worldwide.
Why She is an Inspiration for Scouts:
-
The Spirit of “Be Prepared”: Chiara’s life is a profound example of the Scout Motto. Even when facing a life-altering illness, she remained prepared in spirit, meeting every challenge with a smile and the words, “If you want it, Jesus, so do I.”
-
Youthful Relatability: As a modern teenager who loved sports, music, and her friends, she provides a contemporary bridge for Scouts to see how holiness fits into everyday 21st-century life.
-
A Lesson in Cheerfulness: She perfectly embodies the point of the Scout Law to be Cheerful, showing that true joy comes from within, regardless of outward circumstances.
Product Details:
-
Ideal Training Aid: A high-quality, inexpensive resource for Scouters and Religious Emblems Counselors to use during “Duty to God” moments or as a reward for completing a religious activity.
-
Premium Quality: 2.5″ x 3.5″ printed on 16pt glossy card stock, durable enough for a Scout’s pocket or a collector’s album.
